Lottery Process for the 2026-2027 School Year:
Registration for the 2026-2027 school year lottery will commence on Monday, November 17th and will remain open until Friday, January 30th. Due to the high demand for our program, we use a lottery system to ensure an equitable selection process. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with our program options beforehand; you will be able to select your top three choices from program options.
To qualify for the lottery, you must be a current Natick resident. When registering, you will need to provide your child's name, date of birth, and contact information for at least one parent/guardian. Please ensure you register only once, per child, as multiple registrations will be discarded by the system. Note that your child must be 3 years of age prior to August 31st to participate. If you are registering siblings, or twins, please submit one form per child. As of November 1st, 2024 no preference will be given based on siblings currently or previously enrolled in the Natick Preschool program. Please be assured that the time of your entry into the lottery system (as long as entry is within the required window between November 17th through January 30, 2026 does not influence the selection process, as selections are made through a random selection process. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee placement, but enters your child into the lottery for a chance to be selected for enrollment. Lottery Results:
The lottery will be drawn on Monday February 9th and parents/guardians of students that were drawn for classroom placement, will receive confirmation during the week of February 9th in writing, via email. After confirmation of selection into the program, a deposit (one month’s tuition) will secure your child’s placement in the program and is due on Wednesday February 25th. Once this deposit is received, you will then receive instructions on how to register your child. If a tuition deposit is not received by this date, the enrollment spot will be forfeited and offered to the next applicant on the waitlist. Should the number of applicants exceed the number of available spaces within the preschool, families that were not selected in the lottery for classroom placement will be notified in writing, by email, and provided their numbered placement on the waitlist. Future openings will be filled by utilizing a numbered waitlist.
Tuition Payments:
Natick Preschool is a tuition based program for community peers. Tuition payments are divided into 10 monthly installments. The deposit is applied to the last payment of the school year on June 1st. The second tuition payment is due on September 1 and the remaining 8 payments will be due monthly on the first day of the month, beginning October 1, 2026 and ending May 1, 2027.
Financial Aid:
No child will be excluded from any programs due to financial hardship. We follow a sliding scale fee set forth by the Natick Public School’s business office. If you believe that you may qualify for financial assistance, please reach out to April Davenport by the stated deadline for more information and to secure your position in the program.
For Currently Enrolled Students:
If your child already attends the preschool program, their current placement will automatically be guaranteed for the next school year and these families will have an opportunity to communicate 1) intent to return and 2) program selection prior to the lottery. Intent to return will be due Friday December 19, 2025. If intent to return is not confirmed by this date, the enrollment slot will be opened for the lottery. Tuition deposit will be due on Wednesday February 25, 2025
